NYSSRA Nordic - Race to end Alzheimer's

The The New York State Ski Racing Association is joining the fight to end Alzheimer's. Many of our friends, family, parents, neighbors, and community members have had their lives touched by this disease. In New York alone there are more than 300,000 people struggling with the devastating effects of Alzheimer's. The disease affects their lives and the lives of the family and caregiver's around them.
NYSSRA wants to encourage you to "Try it for Chairty". This is a new initiative for the 2013-2014 season. We want to encourage you to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association and come try the great sport of nordic skiing. All the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association and it is fun for the whole family. This event will be held as part of the NYSSRA Championship Weekend in Lake Placid. We hope this will serve as a model for the other events that we hope will come in following seasons. The event will take place in Lake Placid at Mt. Van Hoevenberg Ski Center on March 2, 2014.
